Do You Remember…
Okay, so technically it’s the 18th of September rather than the 21st, but it’s always fun to sing along with Earth, Wind, and Fire. Welcome to all the news that is news—minus one pretty big thing that I’ll address next month—for the month of September.
First, and foremost: I’ll be at Read it Again books this Saturday, the 20th at 3:00 for a workshop/AMA called Novel 101. Price of admission is buying a copy of Nobody’s Perfect.* Already have a copy? Christmas isn’t that far away. Anyhoo, the link for that is here. Scroll on down their website, and you’ll see the book.
*Listen, you are welcome to come join the workshop and then buy someone else’s book while you’re there. I’m always happy to see you.
I will answer your questions on how to write a book, how to publish a book, and/or anything and everything you’ve ever wanted to know about how I wrote Nobody’s Perfect. While you’re there, you can order a mystery box. I hear tell Kim and the fine folks at Read It Again went viral on the Tiky-Toks.
So, hey. I’d love to tell you about Better Get to Livin’ on audio, but I don’t have that info. It’s coming soon. Probably tomorrow after I’ve sent this newsletter because you know, Murphy and his Law.
Other news relevant to your interests:
I’m working on copy edits for Little Miss Petty right now. Cover reveal should be coming up in the next few months.
Manuscripts for Bless Her Heart and Oh My Stars have been completed. Covers are completed—look below for the gorgeous new Bless Her Heart cover and audio rights for both of those have been sold so they, too, will be coming soon. Feel free to ask your library if they’d like to stock a copy of any of my audio books. Or paper copies. Whichever.
If you want to learn how to avoid procrastination, sign up for my online class through Savvy Author. Do it right now. No, seriously. That’s the first step to not procrastinating, right? Right? (If I don’t have enough folks sign up, then I’ll unfortunately have to cancel it)
If you want to learn about how to incorporate humor in your writing, then send an email to rwa.wf.chap@gmail.com to see about attending the class being held October 20-31st. (free for RWF members, $30 for RWA members, $40 for anyone else)
Tinsel & Tales! I plan to join Julia at The Book Worm once again. Julia has probably told me this date. Did I write it down? No, I did not. To quote my youngest child: That’s on me. That’s my bad. Just reserve the whole month of December. Julia’s worth it.
Have you read Oh My Stars? Well, Read it Again Bookstore has selected Oh My Stars as their book club selection. Come chat with me on 12/4—and I’m doing my best to get the new copies up and ready for purchase.
And now…the new cover for Bless Her Heart:
As always, thanks for reading my books—and my newsletters—and I hope you’re having a fantabulous fall.
